European Heritage Days

Friday 8 October 2021 - 9:30 to Sunday 10 October 2021 - 21:30

Once again, Catalonia celebrates the European Heritage Days (JEP), led by the European Council and the European Commission, uninterruptedly since 1991.

These days are considered the liveliest activity in Europe around cultural heritage every year.

The European Council suggests this year to hold the European Heritage Days under the theme Heritage: All-inclusive. Accordingly, this edition invites all institutions, entities and associations engaged in the event to schedule activities with an open mind. Hence, audiences and groups' variety and diversity can enjoy the cultural heritage festivity in identical conditions.

 FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8

  - 10th Art Market Conference, Collectibles and Museums

This symposium is an initiative to deepen the study of art collecting in Catalonia and tries to arouse curiosity around collectors and their links with the art exchange. It's an issue that has been barely analyzed by historiography, even in the most recent times.

The meeting is held once more in Sitges. Two of its most important heritage sites represent critical milestones in our country's collector's history: the Cau Ferrat by Rusiñol and the Maricel by Charles Deering.

 Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Venue: Golden Hall of the Maricel Palace

Free. Limited capacity. Prior website reservation.
