Museu del Cau Ferrat

Guided Tours

The Cau Ferrat Museum was founded in 1893 by the artist Santiago Rusiñol (1861-1931) as a house-workshop and became a public museum in 1933, preserving the artistic spirit of its founder.

It contains the collections of the ancient art acquired by the artist (painting, wrought iron, ceramics, glass, archaeology, sculpture and furniture), as well as of modern art (painting, drawing, sculpture), with works by Rusiñol, Casas, Picasso, R. Pichot, Mas i Fondevila, Zuloaga, Regoyos and Degouwe de Nucques, Enric Clarasó, Manolo Hugué and Pau Gargallo, among others.

The activities organised by Rusiñol with the participation of artists, musicians and writers turned the Cau Ferrat into the Temple of Modernism.
