On the occasion of the Anglada-Camarasa Year, which commemorates the 150th anniversary of the painter's birth, the Sitges Museums present an exhibition showing works from his Parisian period, between the 19th and 20th centuries. , putting in context the two paintings by Anglada-Camarasa that the old collection of Santiago Rusiñol in the Cau Ferrat preserves.
The Anglada-Camarasa of the turn of the century in Paris had formed around the group of turnips, post-impressionist painters who called themselves by this word, which means "prophet" in Hebrew and "inspired" in Arabic . Anglada did not limit himself to painting as Pierre Bonnard, Édouard Vollard or Maurice Denis did, but gave this line of post-impressionism an absolutely personal vision.
