Manual and creative workshop in which we will create our own million machine, using practical materials, such as wooden pallets, bottle caps, cardboard and balls.
The origin of the million game can be found in 18th-century home billiards, in which players had to manage to get the ball into certain holes and were awarded points based on difficulty. Progressively, the games incorporated various improvements, until in the second half of the 20th century they became an emblem of leisure in the consumer society.
This workshop is part of the educational program organized by Escola Pia and Student Families Association, with the collaboration of Sitges Museums, to offer students aged 5 to 10 from all Sitges educational centers activities to get them closer to the heritage of Sitges. The sessions are free, with prior reservation, and allow children – as well as their parents – to meet the artists from the Cau Ferrat collections, the Maricel Museum, the Maricel Palace and the Stämpfli Foundation.
