The debate over Noucentisme, also present in social networks

The First International Symposium on Noucentisme held simultaneously in Sitges and Barcelona between 28 and 30 November, can also be followed through social networks. The organization has chosen the label #Noucentisme14 so that speakers, attendees and those users who want to join in can express their opinion from Twitter. Museus de Sitges will also be involved in the virtual projection of the event and, as usual, will reinforce the contents of Facebook and Twitter during the Symposium.

The first edition of this event dedicated to Noucentisme coincides with the centenary of the Commonwealth of Catalonia and the reopening of the museums located on the seafront of Sitges, scheduled for later this year. The conference includes the participation of international experts in cultural thought and also cultural policy and history. The goal is to place the discourse about Noucentisme in the 21th century, and make it visible in the context of the cultural history of Catalonia and the rest of Europe.
