
The Sitges Heritage Consortium held a new meeting of its governing bodies last Thursday, with sessions of the Executive Committee and the General Council, in which the main issues of economic, organizational management and planning of the museum complex's activity were addressed.
In the economic field, the General Account corresponding to the 2025 financial year was reported favorably, a step prior to its final approval by the General Council. It also reported on the settlement of the budget and various budgetary modifications, aimed at guaranteeing the ordinary functioning of the Consortium and responding to its structural and operational needs.
During the session, the 2025 Annual Activity Report was also presented, which includes the main actions carried out by the Sitges Museums throughout the year, as well as the status of budget execution and management indicators.
Regarding the internal organization, the adaptation of the workforce and the relationship of jobs to the current needs of the Consortium was considered, with the aim of strengthening key areas such as economic management, preventive conservation and documentation.
The meeting also served to report on compliance with the regulations on default, with results within the established parameters, as well as to report on the resolutions adopted by the Presidency.
In the cultural and editorial field, the approval of the sales prices of several publications of the Consortium was proposed, with criteria that facilitate their dissemination and access to the public.
Finally, information was provided on the proposal to formalize a collaboration agreement with the Barcelona Provincial Council to promote actions in various heritage facilities managed by the Consortium. Among these actions, studies and projects for the rehabilitation and improvement of buildings stand out, as well as the interventions necessary for the reopening of the Can Llopis Romantic Museum.
With this meeting, the Sitges Heritage Consortium continues to advance in the consolidation of its management model, with the aim of guaranteeing the sustainability, conservation and projection of Sitges' cultural heritage.
