A new chiller will improve the functioning of the climate control system at Maricel

The Maricel Museum will debut a new state-of-the-art, high-performance cooler in the coming days, which will represent a significant improvement over the equipment that has performed this function in the last eleven years, since the inauguration of the reopening of the museums.

The new machine will arrive in Sitges in the coming days and will be installed on one of the Maricel roofs, without having an external visual impact. It has been equipped and adapted to neutralize as much as possible the aggressive impact of being located on the seafront

A few days ago, the old cooler was dismantled, once it had reached the end of its operation and service. During the dismantling work –especially complex due to the volume of the device and the accesses of the crane and the truck– the support elements were also removed. Until the installation of the new machine is completed, the cooling of the rooms is carried out with auxiliary devices.
