The Sitges Museums will host a conference on art and health this Wednesday by Italian researcher Vincenza Ferrara.

This Wednesday, October 22nd at 6:00 p.m., the Gothic Hall of the Maricel Museum will host the conference "Art as an Instrument to Improve Competencies and Promote the Well-being of Health Professionals and Patients," by Vincenza Ferrà, an Italian researcher on the application of art as an educational and therapeutic tool.

The talk will explore how artistic experience can become a key tool for developing competencies in healthcare professionals and, at the same time, a way to improve patients' quality of life. Ferrà will provide examples of best practices and reflections emerging from years of research at the intersection of art, education, and health.

The conference is part of a week in which the Sitges Museums become a cluster of Healing Arts Barcelona, ​​the first edition in Spain of the global Healing Arts & Health movement. Led by the MNAC and Jameel Arts & Health Lab, with support from the WHO, it will host activities and meetings that highlight the role of cultural heritage as an agent of individual and collective well-being. This will be a unique opportunity to hear one of the most renowned international voices in this field and to strengthen the link between the worlds of culture and health.
