The new exhibition at Fundació Stämpfli, dedicated to Antoni Taulé, allowed renewing the exhibit of the collection on a parallel way. The Hall 3 of the Foundation has a new exhibition of works by twelve artists, who presented some of the different ways in which young artists of the 60s left behind the artistic concerns of previous generations, especially the abstraction of the immediate postwar and that the 50s.
The Hall includes works by Peter Stämpfli, Francois Arnal, Gérard Titus-Carmel, Olivier Mosset, Niele Toroni, Jean-Michel Meurice, Daniel Dezeuze, Mark Brusse, Jean Le Gac, Pierre Tilman, Horacio Garcia-Rossi and Rafael Canogar. This is an accurate picture of the entire corpus of the Foundation's collection, which includes hundreds of works by 60 different artists. The new composition presented allows overcoming the traditional opposition between figurative art and abstract art.
To date, the Foundation Hall 3 was dedicated -along with Hall 2- to monographic exhibitions, while Hall 1 showed a selection of funds. With the new structure, the exhibition Antoni Taulé will occupy the two plates of the main building -halls 1 and 2, while the three will complement the facility with the selection of funds.
Among the works that are part of the new exhibition of the collection are three recent donations: those of Horacio Garcia-Rossi, Mark Brusse and Gérard Titus-Carmel. The first two works were already transferred to the Foundation, while Carmel was added now. Garcia-Rossi's work was donated by his daughter on the occasion of the exhibition Cinetik! While Brusse donated five sculptures, one of which is exposed at the new exhibition- and two watercolors.
