The University of Vic has called for an academic session to pay tribute to Santiago Rusiñol for Friday, November 28, on the occasion of the centenary that was paid to the Lord of the Cave in late 1925 and early 1926 by a large and varied group of intellectuals and which was called the Tribute of Catalonia.
The initiative will feature three conferences, given by experts on Santiago Rusiñol: Margarida Casacuberta, Juan Carlos Rodríguez and Vinyet Panyella. It has also scheduled a round table and a session to present new publications on Rusiñol's work.
The conference is organized by the Verdaguer Chair of Literary Studies at UVic-UCC, with the collaboration of the Verdaguer Society, the Ter Museum, the Cau Ferrat Museum, and the Research Group in Applied Linguistics, Didactics and Literature (GLOSSA), and has the support of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Institution of Catalan Literature.
