Beyond the exhibitions, the program of activities offers a particularly dynamic and transversal agenda. In May, the celebration of International Museum Day becomes one of the central moments of the quarter. The facilities offer open days, special guided tours and unique activities such as a night walk through the Palau de Maricel with an audition of the Sitges Canta choir. In addition, family workshops, research activities and conferences are scheduled, as well as proposals linked to heritage and the environment, such as the talk on the impact of climate change on living heritage, within the framework of the transnational project WRENCH. Mediation activities such as the Club de la mirada and the Peça del mes sessions also continue.
June is marked by a clear commitment to diversity and contemporaneity, within the framework of Sitges Art Pride. The program includes activities such as a tour of Catalan LGTBIQ+ literature by the writer and translator Sebastià Portell, the contemporary art workshop Memòries dissidents with Albert Potrony and Roser Sanjuan, as well as the ballroom performance El ball dels monstres (allò que no es veu) by the artist Jayce, and the Peça del mes, by the art historian Víctor Ramírez Tur and the drag performer Norma Mor. In addition, the small-format exhibition Noves adquisicions per a nous relats 2025.2 will open in the Sala Rocamora of the Maricel Museum, which continues to review heritage with an inclusive and current perspective. There are also traditional activities such as the Corpus Christi workshop or the tradition of L’Ou com balla in the courtyard of the Palau de Maricel, which connect heritage and popular culture. At the same time, there are wellness and health activities, community projects and accessible experiences, such as a sensory visit to the Cau Ferrat Museum.
Guided tours and experiences continue to be one of the pillars of the program. Every Sunday the doors of the Palau de Maricel open, with guided tours in Catalan, Spanish and English, and one Saturday a month the Cau Ferrat Museum and the Maricel Museum, in Catalan and Spanish.
