Starting today, September 15, the Sitges Museums open registration for the fifth edition of the Santiago Rusiñol Reading Club, which has established itself as one of the most notable cultural activities in the institution's regular program.
The Club, led by Sitges Museums collaborator Andreu Bosch, offers a literary journey that invites you to rediscover the richness of Santiago Rusiñol's work and his intellectual milieu. From classic texts to lesser-known pieces, the 2025-2026 season program presents a varied itinerary that combines readings, interpretations of excerpts, discussions, and the participation of special guests. Sessions will be held every third Thursday of the month, at 6:00 p.m., in the Can Rocamora Room of the Maricel Museum, an emblematic space that connects with Rusiñol's cultural and modernist spirit.
The fifth edition's calendar offers a diverse selection of works by Santiago Rusiñol, beginning on October 16 with a reading of Rusiñol's Writings at the Esquella de la Torratxa (1908-1909), continuing on November 20 with "Cap al tard" (The Tard), and on December 18 with "Jardí abandonado" (Abandoned Jar) (The Abandoned Jar). In 2026, the series will open with "Todos los monólogos de Santiago Rusiñol" (All the Monologues of Santiago Rusiñol), scheduled for January 15. The program will continue on February 19 with "Don Josep falta a la mujer" (Don Josep is Missing a Woman), and on March 19 with "A la sombra del ruiseñor" (The Shadow of the Nightingale), by writer Juan Carlos Rodríguez, which will provide a complementary perspective on Rusiñol's literary universe. The season will close on April 16 with "La nit del amor" (The Night of Love), one of the author's most representative works.
With this fifth season, the Reading Club reaffirms its commitment to literary dissemination and the creation of a space for cultural dialogue open to all those interested in Catalan and world literature. Registration can be completed online at www.museusdesitges.cat or at the reception desk of the Sitges Museums.
