Next week, the Sitges Museums will become a cluster in the first edition of Healing Arts Barcelona, ​​​​an international initiative that connects art and health to improve people's well-being. From October 20 to 26, 2025, Catalonia will host for the first time this program, promoted by the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC), Jameel Arts & Health Lab, and the World Health Organization (WHO), with more than 70 activities in museums, hospitals, health centers, and community spaces throughout the country.

With the motto "The arts take care of us, culture is health," the project positions Catalonia as a European benchmark in the field of arts in health and has the involvement of leading cultural and healthcare institutions, including the Sitges Museums, which is one of its main clusters. Within this framework, the Sitges Museums take on a central role within Healing Arts Barcelona 2025, with their own program that connects heritage, culture, and health, and positions art as a tool for well-being and collective reflection. From October 22nd to 26th, Sitges will offer various experiences that reinforce its position as a cultural and heritage landmark linked to international projects.

Guided tour "Sitges Museums. Refuge of Well-being"
An experience led by Txema Romero, director of the Sitges Museums, to discover the Cau Ferrat Museum and the Maricel Museum as spaces where heritage becomes a source of health, balance, and inspiration, aimed exclusively at volunteers from the Sitges community.

6 p.m. | Gothic Hall of the Maricel Museum
Lecture by Vincenza Ferrara (Sapienza University of Rome)
The prestigious Italian researcher will give the lecture "Art as an Instrument to Improve Competence and Promote Well-being for Healthcare Professionals and Patients," where she will reflect on art as an educational and therapeutic tool for both healthcare professionals and patients.

Workshop "Visual Thinking Strategies"
A participatory workshop led by Montserrat Morales and Esther Fuertes, aimed specifically at healthcare professionals, which proposes experimenting with creative methodologies to improve well-being and open up new ways of thinking.
