Museums take to the streets with a spectacular 'mapping' that fuses art, light and music

The Racó de la Calma is the setting for an attractive art, music and light show, organised by Museus de Sitges from today, Friday 22 November, until next Wednesday. It is an immersive mapping, which brings the museums and their collections onto the street, to bring them closer to the people, both Sitges residents and visitors.

The walls of the Palau de Maricel, the Museu de Maricel and Can Rocamora act as the setting for an open-air museum. The show shows the works in motion, displaying their beauty and displaying their capacity for attraction: from Gothic pieces to Modern Art, with special attention to the oils by Santiago Rusiñol, Ramon Casas, El Greco, Picasso and Joaquim Sunyer. The interior spaces (such as Cau Ferrat, the Maricel viewpoint or the tiles of the Palau) also acquire life and movement in this recreation.

The screening will take place continuously, every afternoon and evening from today until Wednesday 27th, between 6pm and 9pm. It lasts 10 minutes and is open to everyone.

This proposal is part of the autumn activities program of Sitges Museums and is carried out with the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
