The Museums of Sitges participate in the II Research Conference of the UAB's Artistic Heritage Campus

The Sitges Museums participated this Thursday, October 1st, in the II Research Conference of the Artistic Heritage Campus of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), a meeting that brought together professionals from museums and heritage institutions to share lines of research, needs and new challenges in the sector.

The conference aimed to establish synergies between the university and institutions linked to heritage and museums, sharing ongoing research, needs and new lines of work that could be developed from the university level, both through final degree theses (TFG) and final master's theses (TFM) as well as projects promoted by the UAB's teaching and research staff.

Museums and the university, a connection to generate knowledge

The participation of the Sitges Museums has allowed the institution's challenges and needs to be shared with the university community and to explore new possibilities for research, knowledge transfer and collaboration. The initiative aims to convert the real challenges of heritage facilities into opportunities for learning, study and research.

The meeting ended with a speed-dating session between students and professionals from the participating museums and institutions. This space allowed for sharing ideas, proposing possible work topics and establishing contacts for future research projects.

Participation in this conference reinforces the links between the Sitges Museums and the university environment and their commitment to research, knowledge transfer and networking. A line of work that allows the activity and needs of museums to be connected with new perspectives and lines of academic research.
