  • Darrers dies per gaudir de l'exposició "L’elogi del dibuix. La Col·lecció Manuel Puig” a Sitges

A unique opportunity to delve into the technical and expressive richness of this fundamental discipline, with names such as Giulio Clovio, Vicente López, Anton Raphael Mengs, Santiago Rusiñol, Joan Miró, Pablo Ruiz Picasso, Giorgio de Chirico, Auguste Rodin, Andy Warhol and many others, and enjoy the complementary activities programmed in these last days of the exhibition. The exhibition also highlights the role of women in the history of art, with works by five artists of great international relevance: Mela Muter, Natalia Gontxarova, Suzanne Valadon, Remedios Varo and Paula Rego. Five unique perspectives that bring strength, sensitivity and innovation to the collection.

To bring this exceptional artistic universe closer to the public, the Sitges Museums have programmed several complementary activities in the coming days. This Friday, September 26th at 7:30pm, the screening of the film Portrait of a Woman on Fire, written and directed by Céline Sciamma, and starring Noémie Merlant and Adèle Haenel, will take place in the Sala Gòtica of the Maricel Museum.

On Wednesday, October 1st, from 10am to 2pm, there will be the traditional monthly open house, while on Saturday, October 11th, several guided tours of the exhibition will be held: at 11am in Catalan and at 12pm in Spanish for the Friends of the Sitges Museums and for the Ram de Tot l’Any Association, while at 5pm in Spanish and 6pm in Catalan for the general public, taking into account that the latter will be a guided tour adapted for people with blindness or low vision.

The following day, Sunday 12 October, there will be an open day from 10am to 7pm, as part of the celebration of the European Heritage Days, and on Friday 17 October, from 6pm to 9pm, the Rocamora Room of the Maricel Museum will host an introductory sketching workshop, given by Blanca Benítez, head of USK Sitges-Garraf.

These proposals become the last opportunity to discover and experience this unique exhibition project at the Sitges Museums.
