The Artur Carbonell exhibition and its activities, held between November and March 22, have brought together 4,490 people and, above all, have allowed the recovery and projection of the figure of a first-rate artist from Catalonia in the 20th century. Artur Carbonell. Beyond the Mask has presented 170 works from 18 institutions and 30 private collections in a show with two spaces, at the Palau and the Maricel Museum.
The value of the exhibition and the set of works exhibited have constituted a cultural proposal of notable importance, which has attracted a wide audience, especially interested in discovering the multifaceted figure of Artur Carbonell: the Noucentista artist, the one of magical realism, the one of surrealism, the set designer or the author of the iconic design of the Gegants de la Vila. Precisely, their presence at the Maricel Museum on the occasion of the exhibition has allowed to expand the target audience and attract boys and girls captivated by the magic of the famous couple.
The exhibition has attracted 4,420 visitors, from November 21 to March 22. In addition, the different guided tours (ten different groups of entities from the town and other social sectors have participated) have invited nearly 200 people. At the same time, the three conferences have added a hundred people.
