12 noon
Sala Vaixells del Palau de Maricel
Free entry with a capacity limited to 15 children aged 6 to 12. Reservations must be made in advance on the website museusdesitges.cat, and at the reception of the Sitges Museums.
The activity is part of the programme of the European Heritage Days 2026.
The Sitges Museums, in collaboration with the Sitges – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, are offering a family workshop to discover the magic of optical effects and the origins of moving images.
The girls and boys will create their own zoetrope from an animation inspired by the emblematic image of King Kong, linked to the Festival. Through this optical toy, invented in the 19th century, they will experience how a succession of images can generate the illusion of movement.
A workshop to discover the magic of cinema by playing with images, movement and the fantastic universe.
