A group of British Lords interested in Modernisme visits Cau Ferrat

Saturday morning, a group of fifteen Lords, former deputies of the House of Lords of the British Parliament, visited Cau Ferrat. It was a private visit included in the cultural tour around our legacy.

The deputies were received by the Director of Museums of Sitges, Vinyet Panyella. Vinyet explained the importance of Cau Ferrat for the Catalan Modernisme mouvement, and the role of Sitges at the end of the 19th Century as one point of reference for the arts. Panyella also described the legacy value and the uniqueness of Cau Ferrat within the world of Catalan museums. The Lords received a guide of Cau Ferrat in English that helped them to better assimilate works and their environment.

The group was directed by the Dutch cultural promoter Gijs van Herbsbergen that in the year 2006 participated in the acts of the Year Rusiñol. Visitors were amazed by the museum and the gentle treatment of guides.
