The Sitges Museums Store offers literature with more than thirty titles

The Sitges Museum Store again looks at all its literary potential coinciding with the celebration of Sant Jordi. The shelves of "La Puntual" gather more than thirty titles related to artists, works and collections of Sitges museums or with the architectural heritage of the town and its natural surroundings. Most books are written in Catalan and some of them are also available in Spanish, English or French. Until Friday April 27, visitors can buy them with a 5% discount.

The wide range of literary works of the Museums shop is combined with a weekend full of cultural proposals to celebrate the festival of the patron saint of Catalonia. The events began this Friday with the reading marathon of the work  L'alegria que pasa , written by Santiago Rusiñol and musicalized by Enric Morera, and the lyrical concert of the French soprano Hélène Walter, who last year already captivated local audience of the Mirabent and Magrans Contest and the Sitgestiu Musical.

The music will continue next Saturday with the concert of the municipal school Montserrat Almirall, which will offer a varied program with different instrumental groups of students and teachers from the center. On Saturday, one of the novelties of this month will take place at the Museums of Sitges: the adult workshop on how to build a fishing tackle according to the traditional method. The session, planned to publicize the Seafaring Collection of Emerencià Roig i Raventós, will be resumed on Sunday and will end with a lunch at the restaurant La Nansa in which the cuttlefish will be the protagonist.

This intense April will be completed on Friday 27 with two more activities. On the one hand, the Piece of the Month dedicated to Painting Vista a la Ribera , by Joaquim de Miró. And, on the other, the presentation of the book Lletres i Arts. Visions by Ramon Casas , which compiles the texts of six Catalan writers who literally reinterpret six paintings by the Catalan modernist painter.
