The Ramon Casas Exhibition, a much yearned modernity now offers guided tours. Every day from Tuesday to Friday at 17 pm (in Catalan) and 18 pm (Spanish). Visitors who wish can take the commented tour for the exhibition installed in the Maricel Museum.
Guided tours have no added cost to the € 10 price for admission to the exhibition, which you can also use to visit Cau Ferrat. Those interested can book at the ticket office before visiting or, preferably, by Internet when they purchase the ticket.
During the first ten days of the exhibition, from the 16th November when it was inaugurated by the president of the Catalan Self-Government, Carles Puigdemont, the exhibition received 4,342 visitors, a figure of considerable importance and exceeding the previous exhibitions organized by Museums of Sitges. Among those visitors there were 40 groups.
Meanwhile, restaurants from Sitges participating in the campaign Ramon Casas in the palate also received the first customers interested in sampling dishes based on modernist cuisine. The campaign consists of ten restaurants showing their dishes, besides a "Ramon Casas Tapa" and a "Ramon Casas Beer".
Ramon Casas, a much yearned modernity, is the central exhibition of the Year Ramon Casas and presents 178 works by the artist and other contemporaries that influenced his art. In the exhibition there are works by Toulouse - Lautrec, Carolus-Duran, Pablo Picasso, John Singer Sargent, Thomas Couture, Joaquim Sorolla, Santiago Rusiñol, Joaquín Torres-García, Francesc Masriera, Romà Riera, Antoni Caba, Julio Romero de Torres, Anders Zorn and others.
The exhibition can be seen at the Maricel Museum until 19 February. Subsequently, the exhibition can be seen at CaixaForum Madrid (7 March - 11 June 2017) and CaixaForum Palma de Mallorca (July 5 - 22 October 2017).
