A photo of La Noia del Barret (The girl with the hat) is awarded in the first contest of Instagram of Museums of Sitges

This image of the user La Noia del Barret (@lanoiadelbarret) has been the winner of the first Photographic Competition of Instagram of the Museums of Sitges. The contest took place in the framework of the meeting of instagramers # SitgesÉsMoltMés, held on May 13 as the first promotional event of the Costa Barcelona Week event.

The visit included the participation of eighty users from various European countries, which add more than 210,000 followers among all their accounts in this social network of photography. The only thing they had to do to compete is to take advantage of their tour through the Maricel Palace and the Maricel Museum to immortalize photographically some corner of these spaces together with the label #MuseusDeSitges.

Beyond the competition, and as expected, the participants took advantage of their stay in Sitges and the Maricel Palace to knoe better the history and heritage of the city. Among other places, they also visited the Parish of Sant Bartolomé and Santa Tecla, the Hospital of San Juan Bautista and the Prpmenade of la Ribera.

The winner - La Noia del Barret - also won two tickets for a musical show of the imminent edition of Sitgestiu. In addition, along with the user of Instagram L'Albertet (@lalbertet), she has also been able to act as photographic correspondent for the tourist accounts Barcelona Es Molt Més and Discover Catalunya -the tourist brands of the Diputació and the Generalitat- during the celebration of the Corpus Christi of Sitges
