Museums of Sitges registered a total of 2,392 visitors during the Easter holidays. Such figures are distributed as follows: 1,896 people visited Cau Ferrat and Maricel Museum, 23 visited Stämpfli Foundation and 473 joined guided tours around Maricel Palace.
Such dates correspond to the days of between Tuesday of Holy Week and Easter Sunday, the days that Sitges registered a major number of visitors. During those six days, the Maricel Place received daily visits, as usual every Sunday. The high interest of the public to know the building also consolidates visits as an activity of cultural tourism in the tourist schedule of Sitges.
At the same time, the interest for the reopening of Cau Ferrat and Maricel was also patent during Easter. Access to these two museums had an average of 316 visits per day, with the highest concentration during holidays.
And among the visitors received by Cau Ferrat and Maricel Museum, we must stress one important personality: Nigel Planer, one of the four main characters of the legendary television series The Young Ones (Els joves), who visited the museum on Sunday. Planer - who also took part in films like Evita, Chicago and We Will Rock You. Planer- was on holiday in Barcelona during Easter and wanted to know the two museums in Sitges.
