More space for merchandising at the shop of the Museums of Sitges

The Shop of the Museums wins space. The area dedicated to merchandising at the museums of Sitges is now larger with the installation of panels on the walls and shelves, allowing to display more products and, in turn, approach products to visitors in a more comfortable and organized manner. The new furniture follows the same decorative line than the counter existing and, in fact, is seen as a natural continuation. In addition, the intention is to finish the room during the autumn with the purchase of independent furniture, a gondola and a mirror.

A year and a half after opening to the public, the Shop of the Museums of Sitges has 187 different products, including stationery, souvenirs, textile accessories, children's games, jewelry and printed publications. All items for sale are exclusive (can not be found in any other shop) and are produced in limited editions (to enhance its uniqueness) and up to 85% of them are also zero kilometer (are made in Sitges or other towns in Catalonia).

Beyond the economic impact, Museums of Sitges has always conceived their shop  as a showcase to promote local talent and craft, as well as a resource to export our heritage in an attractive and distended.way. This strategic conception wants to develop in a short term a new commercial project that encourages  merchandise itself, and especially the creation of products for all segments of the public.

At the moment, some of the future proposals are jumping directly to online sales, to create promotional campaigns during important dates, prepare a larger warehouse to take more stock and trade with other institutions. Interrelated actions to transform the shop of our  museums into a meeting point for all those who want to give away a small piece of cultural Sitges.to their loved ones.
