Museums of Sitges will increase guided tours around Maricel Palace on occasion of Easter. The Palace will open doors during Tuesday, 31 March, Wednesday, 1 April, Thursday, 2 April, Friday, 3 April, Saturday, 4 April and Sunday 5 April. Visitors will be able to know its history, admire collections and visit iconic sites such as the Gold Room, the Blue Room, the cloister and the gorgeous terraces. Usually, you can visit the Palace on guided tours on Sundays. The present addition of visiting days represents intent to offer a range of activities related to cultural tourism during Easter.
Built a hundred years ago, under the direction of Miquel Utrillo and the patronage of Charles Deering, the American Industrialist, Maricel Palace is one of the "Noucentista" jewels of Sitges. Among many other works of arts, it contains some beautiful capitals sculpted by Pere Jou and lounges that combine different styles, currently equipped as spaces for receptions and public events.
The tours are in English at 11am, in Catalan at 12am and in Spanish at 1pm. The price of this activity and the price of access to remaining museums can be found in the section rates leading to Museums of Sitges website.
