The seventh Art Market, Collecting and Museums Day, organized by the Sitges Heritage Consortium and the Autonomous University of Barcelona, will be held at the Palau de Maricel on Friday October 26 with a program that will address different studies that go from Charles Deering to collecting bookbindings, going through the Sorigué collections and the La Fontana Foundation, the artistic trade between Barcelona and Madrid in the mid-nineteenth century and the profiles of the collectors Emili Cabot Rovira, Maria Regordosa and Oleguer Junyent.
The sessions are coordinated by Bonaventura Bassegoda (UAB) and Ignasi Domènech (head of the Museum Collections of Sitges) and will be attended by renowned speakers as Fernando Alcolea, Gemma Avinyó, Clara Beltran, Maria Antònia Casanovas, Jordi de Nadal, Vinyet Panyella and Aitor Quiney.
The Art Market, Collecting and Museums is aimed at museologists, collectors, gallery owners, scholars and other professionals related to the world of art, as well as students from these disciplines. The registration is free and can be formalized from September through the website of Museums of Sitges. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
